The Champions Burger returns to Mestalla with Europe’s largest gourmet burger festival

The Champions Burger returns to Mestalla as Europe’s largest gourmet burger festival. The gastronomic event is back at the home of Valencia CF with the new features of its The Big Game tour, a completely revamped setting, and entertainment designed for the whole family.

From today until June 29, The Champions Burger will search for the “Best Burger in Spain” in a competitive atmosphere inspired by major NFL games. Visitors will be able to sample some of the country’s finest burgers while enjoying a unique experience in an environment designed for all ages.

AN ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY EVENT WITH A POSITIVE IMPACT ON THE CITY’S ECONOMY

This year’s edition of The Champions Burger will not feature music, a decision made by the organizers to respect local residents’ rest and ensure harmonious coexistence throughout the event in a peaceful and respectful environment outside the stadium.

Founded in 2018 on the banks of Valencia’s Turia River, The Champions Burger has continued to grow, revolutionizing burger culture. According to an analysis by the Valencian Institute of Economic Research (IVIE), the event generated a total of €5.2 million for the Valencian economy’s GDP in 2025. This impact was driven by direct investment from the organizers (41.5%), spending by participating burger restaurants (10.8%), and additional spending by attendees outside the venue (47.7%).

Its influence extends far beyond Valencia. Throughout the year, the festival visited 57 cities, attracted more than 8 million attendees, featured 300 restaurants, and achieved successful international debuts in Paris and Porto.

23 RESTAURANTS TO TAKE PART IN “THE BIG GAME”

The Big Game will feature a pre-show, entertainment, and champions. With a setup dominated by red, blue, and white colors, visitors will move through a striking environment filled with lighting effects, entrance tunnels, and interactive activities that immerse them in the event’s vibrant atmosphere.

Twenty-three of the country’s top-performing restaurants arrive in Valencia today with their food trucks, eager to showcase their talents. Each day, chefs will compete to climb the rankings through technique and creativity, aiming to create the winning burger.

Among the contenders is the unbeaten “Gladiadora” from The Vicbros Burger, which has claimed seven victories in seven cities; the legendary “Royale Gold” from Godeo, one of this season’s strongest competitors; and “La Ganadora” from Rico, another must-try favorite on the circuit.

Valencia’s local representatives will also be competing. El Tarantín Chiflado will present “La Más Mejor,” featuring a Japanese wagyu patty, melted cheddar, and a smoked cheese bomb. Baool will compete with the “Famosa Top 1,” made with dry-aged beef, slow-cooked ribs, and a combination of sauces that enhance its intense flavor. Algo Diferente will showcase “La Viciosa Deluxe,” featuring premium beef sautéed with bacon, triple melted cheese, crispy onions, and a blue brioche bun adorned with 24-karat gold detailing.

As always, The Champions Burger stays true to its hallmark: the meat remains the star of the show. Premium, certified-origin cuts are grilled to order, ensuring exceptional flavor, juiciness, and texture.

FREE ENTRY TO THE EVENT

Admission is free, and the people of Valencia will have the final say. After tasting the burgers, visitors can vote by scanning the QR code on their purchase receipt and rating each recipe based on the bun, meat, ingredient combination, presentation, and originality. The three highest-rated burgers will earn a place on the podium at Mestalla Stadium. At the end of the tour, only one will be crowned the “Best Burger in Spain.”

The event opens to the public on Thursday, June 11, at 7:00 p.m. and will run until June 29 according to the following schedule:

• Monday to Thursday: 6:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.
• Friday to Sunday: 12:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.
